So Valentines Day is an awesome day right? Well I think in the States its a bigger deal but some young people celebrate it here. They like to give flowers and what not but I think the candy industry is really missing an opportunity to make profit in Costa Rica. Maybe in years to come. So I thought Valentines Day was just going to be another day here in Rica, however, little did I know how amazing Michael really is. He contacted my friend Linsey to take me on a date and give me flowers. It was sooo much fun! First, Linsey and I went and bought some chocolate, what is Valentines Day without chocolate? Then we went and got mani/pedis for only $8. I mean we had to look good for each other on our date. I had never been on a date with Linsey and first impressions are key! After getting our nails done, we went to the best italian restaurant in town! Going out to eat here is not very expensive. So, we got drinks, an appetizer, and two entrees because the rule was, we had to eat family style. After dinner, we went to our favorite ice cream place to get ice cream but it was closed! So we went to Mcdonalds and got a Mcflurry. Which was delicious because here they give you chocolate syrup with an oreo mcflurry and caramel with an m&m mcflurry, plus tons of the topping of your choice. So, it was very delicious! It was such an amazing date all set up by my wonderful boyfriend Michael! Isn't he just the best?
